At K-9 Angels, we believe every life counts, no matter where an animal is. Romania’s stray dog crisis is devastating, with countless dogs suffering through neglect and cruelty. Lacking effective animal welfare laws, many dogs face abandonment, abuse, or inhumane deaths in public shelters. We step in to provide the love, care, and protection these dogs deserve.
Romania is home to a severe stray dog problem, with a population out of control due to abandonment and lack of animal welfare laws. Street dogs are often treated as vermin and face a life of suffering and cruelty. Many public shelters are underfunded and overcrowded, leaving dogs with minimal care and poor living conditions.
Some public shelters in Romania only aim to rid the streets of dogs, often using inhumane methods to do so. K-9 Angels steps in to provide aid, rescue, and hope. We partner with compassionate local rescuers and shelters, who are often overwhelmed by the sheer scale of the problem and lack of support they receive. By working together, we can create lasting change and help as many dogs as possible.
At K-9 Angels, we aim to remove the suffering of stray and abandoned dogs through targeted initiatives. Our efforts focus on reducing overpopulation, rescuing and rehoming dogs in need, and supporting shelters to ensure dogs receive proper care.
